Taken on Sun Blockage Day with my phone camera

"I am not a good American...I prefer to form my own opinions" - George Carlin

Not what I expected, but at least I got something...and didn't go blind.

My youngest daughter was with me and photographing with her phone, as well. Her results (as it clouded over).

People, in my opinion, got a bit too moonstruck for that event. I wrote of my lack of care on FB bwahahahaha seems like many thought like me, seen one you've seen enough. But yours looks delicious, did it come with coffee?

walking man - I didn't want to dampen my 14 year old's enthusiasm...she rarely gets excited about anything.

Yes, there was coffee of the Irish persuasion (for dad only).

Ol'B - Good timing. Wait! Er, I'm pretty sure it didn't pass over Maine. Probably Obama's fault.

I read an interesting story just the other day that, though it may not always cause blindness, looking directly into the eclipse can create diabetes, unexplained weight gain and an endless craving for coffee, or cream cheese :-)

Bob Conner - I heard about that article...it was in Scientific American, right?
