A Fellow Citizen

Why is it that the guy with the loudest car on our block. The one with the busted muffler and dragging tailpipe. The one who has the loudest drunken parties...on week nights. The one whose yard puts even my yard to shame...grass height wise, that is. The one whose arrogant kids snarl traffic by skate boarding in the middle of the street, at all hours, and defy you/one to run over them. The one who in the summer parades around in his yard shirtless, displaying what could only kindly be called a fuzzy, over-sized girth, of Busch proportions. The one whose ONLY garbage can is ALWAYS overflowing on pick-up days, and on windy pick-up days, the excess blows throughout the neighborhood...but mainly into MY yard. The one who, on cold days, starts his car 30 minutes before leaving for work. Why is it that the fates would have it that he goes to work at 3:30 A.M. Why?

It's either karma for your drunken parties as a young man, or a coincidence.
I have ear plugs, because otherwise the cat and the dog will wake me up. I'm a light sleeper these days.

Fate I guess, and while I would not trade with you. My neighbors play loud music at all times of the day and night. I can't understand why they want to force me and our other neighbors to listen to their music. And you know I love music, I write about it almost everyday.

becoming---I hate it when I am reminded of my youthful, sodden days. Also, I've had many different brands of cars, but never a Karma Ghia. The cat...a separate post methinks. The cat usually wakes me up after I've gone back to sleep, after the neighbor's car warm-up.

Fitz---Indeed, as do I. I neglected to mention that there is music, and there is, you know...my neighbor's music.

does he drive a clapped out old beater car? if so, i can tell you why he goes to work at 3:30. He's delivering the morning newspaper. But with the way the print journalism industry going, he may be out of work soon, so there's hope. ;)

Maybe Jesus doesn't love you.

Mary Kitt---What a nose you have! Fits right in with my image of our local rag.

Dr Zibbs---It's not so much him, as it is his parents.

I have a next door neighbor in this building who is very quiey. His friends (especially the woman who visits him) are very noisy.

quiey=quiet

Doug---does this speak well or ill of him. I would guess, well. This actually gives me an idea for a new post. You will get credit.

Quiey works in his favor, also.
