Turkey, Smurkey

NOTICE-THIS IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TONGUE-IN-CHEEK BLOG.

Tired of it I tell you. Tired.

The sandwiches, the soup, the wings, the drumsticks, the belly dancers (no, wait...I'll get back to you on that one), the Evil Eye, the gizzards...the old movie which takes place in Istanbul, which was Constantinople...the one where the guy jacks himself down a cable to steal a heavily alarmed jewel thing from a national museum...the name of which I cannot remember in my olden state...just tired of it.

Turkey tired I tell you.

And the damned little red hats. What's with that? Jeez.

Topkapi was the name the movie and it starred the delicious Peter Ustinov who hammed it up to the eyeballs. Turkey is a bit like revenge, best served cold.

Sounds like you need some retail therapy, man. Or maybe not.

(Check your g-mail. Somebody wanted to have me for Thanksgiving dessert ;-)

I'm glad it's not just me. I've had it up to HERE with those F$%&#!$%&!#! Thanksgiving belly dancers. Enough already!

Fez up, you enjoyed it all.

PE---mmmmmmmm, me like steak, and that makes sense.

wm---Why the deuce didn't I think of that. I was shamed into going to my MiL's. Turkey was undercooked...her boyfriend is an ABC Zero...and I stepped in her spastic dog's excretment. All in all, I am thankful I don't live there...and that my children inherited none of those genes...my wife was adopted.

Holte---THAT'S IT. Peter Ustinov...a highly intelligent man, and fine actor.

Served cold and without Greece.

intell---I'll get back to you later regards that...I have to go shopping...for some shoe cleaner...and air freshener...for the car.

Tom---Indeed! And this is where that sort of thing leads: http://termitesofsin.blogspot.com/2009/11/turkey-day-advice-for-men.html

Doug---Groan. Wish I'd thought of it.

No such thing as too much turkey leftovers, including old movies and belly dancers. Ohhh my belly aches, but ain't it grand.

jadedj said...

Mr. C---Considering HOW YOU prepare them, I am sure a "good time" was had on your end. Can't speak to the grand belly ache, unless you're talking about 1/2 of a ton.

NOTE - For those of you who would like to see Mr. C's turkey prep video go here:

Punch---Have you ever heard of the phrase, "A Day Late, and a Dollar Short?"

Punch said...

no

Punch---The defense rests it's case.

Elizabeth said...

Oh, JJ, you got me with this one. Talk about a punchline! LOL!

jadedj said...

Elizabeth---I jest. Actually, I have the greatest respect for Turkey...did they not refuse to let GWB fly over their country to bomb the bejeebers out of Iraq? However, the hats have to go.
