Sometimes they pull your chain...and sometimes they cause great gnashing of the teeth...and sometimes...well, here: for my wife on this mother's day from our seven year old, Sara. My wife handed this to me with big swells of tears. I have to say, this old geez's eyes filled as well.
Forever, for sure.

Awwwww! And such a good printer too! What Mother wouldn't love to receive that beautiful card?
DSWS---Ain't that a kick, the printing. Just like dad. She has worked hard at it. I best not go into our oldest daughter, nor my wife's calligraphic penchants.
Darn, that's making me tear up! I still have treasured Mothers' Day cards that intellikid gave me years ago. And my mother still has one from my sister some 45 years ago, wherein she penned "Roses are red, Violets are blue, Woodpeckers have red heads, And you have one too!"
Enjoy all the sweetness in your life -- I'm sure that's what keeps you sane. Ish.
This is a great post on a nice day.
intell---I am glad you come by here, and over the years you have been a most welcome friend because I know that we are on the same beam (don't go there...vis a vis, Jim I mean ;-).
btw...I love that card of your sister's.
Punch---I usual reserve my smart assness for your presence here. That was far too nice of a comment to follow through with, though. Thanks, bro.
I'm a lot more jaded than you, JJ, but that is indescribably beautiful. I have things Tyler made for me that I will always keep.
Doug---I have a doctorate in jaded, except when it comes to the smaller fry. It is amazing to me that they start off with a clean slate. No bullshit crammed in there. The world at large does that to them. At this age most are still in that pure place of unadulterated love. That truly moves me.
I know from some of the things you have said regards Tyler, that you are in this place with him, as well. The unadulterated place.
Beautiuful! (Not you, JJ)
A perfect way to start a wonderful day.
Happy Mothers Day to all!!!
Chimp---My hairdresser knows, that's all of the affirmation I need.
And ditto to you my simian friend!
you 2 raised a very sweet, loving and considerate child..and smart.
What a sweet card. And her writing is a lot neater than mine was at that age. Neater than my writing is now, for that matter.
Dang, since Punch fell down on the smartassness job I feel like I should pick up the slack. But I can't see through the tears to type. A really sweet post JJ. Reminds me of my girls at that age... and that was a long time ago.
YD G---We are trying. She is a sweetie...most of the time.
Tom---The printing is definitely several hundred points a head of mine at that age. But, she really does practice, unlike her sister did. Possibly an architect, or engineer in the making.
Mr. C---It brings a tear to my eye that this brought a tear to your eye. I take back every thing Punch ever said about you.
Seriously, thanks, bro.
Awww mannn, that tops MY kid's card for sure!
Dontcha just love the lil' monsters?
My dad didn't approve of Mother's Day. He thought it was a Hallmark idea and that every day should be Mother's Day. Great theory, Dad. Not sure what mom thought about it.
MDJ---I'm sorry :(
MB---But would that not make it a little less special? Just wonderin'.
BLOGGER IS BACK!!!
