walkingman---Thanks, I'll go look. I've had this in my file for a month...hoping that it would never see the light. FUCK!

I am seriously considering wearing a black arm band until this shameful nightmare goes awaay. Which means at least four years of wearing one. Melodramatic? Maybe. But, it's exactly how I feel...in mourning.

Sad fuckin day, that is for sure.

Yesterday evening as I left work, our region was engulfed in drift smoke from numerous wildfires burning in SW NC and SE TN. The hazy red sunset was all too surreal and I didn't want to even consider it a harbinger of what was to come. This is unbefuckinlieveable.

Hug your daughters tight, and let them know we will all work to make sure we all pull through this, exhausting though that may seem.

I'm still beyond shocked by last night's Bizarro World upheaval. How did all the "experts" gets this so backwards? Yesterday's vote would be bad enough even if we were expecting it. But we had these false feelings of confidence because "538 said.....). WTF happened?

MRMacrum---All day I've felt it in the air

intell---Unbefuckinlivveable, indeed. It was my oldest daughter's first time voting. She wanted Bernie, but rallied and came over to the Clinton camp. She's taking this very hard. But, that is encouraging to me. The milleniums are going to come back in force...provided Herr drumpf doesn't line us all up and shoot us in the meantime.

Tom---What went wrong? Only the walrus knows.

I began to get nervous a few weeks ago when I realized that even many dems were bad-mouthing and hating on Clinton when they really should have just shut the fuck up. No good could come of it. But, I convinced myself that they were folks of good conscience and logic and would come around in the end. I was wrong...to state the obvious.

There's way more hate and bigotry in this country than before the ciivil rights movement I think. Drumpf gave it legitimacy and they love him for it.

In response to Tom, I can't help but wonder if what I witnessed my Mother do is representative of what went down elsewhere. In conversations before the election, she -- a Fox News watching, Republican voter -- said she couldn't vote for Trump. But what did she do at the polls? She voted for Trump. No explanation why, other than that she "couldn't vote for Hillary." I suspect many others like her publicly expressed disdain for Trump, but in the privacy of the voting booth, they let their true colors show.

I saw this coming. It started with the Tea Party and we saw the inmates become vocal. Now they have truly taken over the asylum.

I'm sick. Just sick. I don't want to live in this world anymore.

intell---Yeah, I thing there was a lot of last minute switching going on. Or, there was a lot of pre-election lying to cover their shame for voting for this jackass clown.

Ol'B---Felt it...but didn't believe it. I stuck my head in the sand...now I'm gagging.

Professor---Oh man, I hope that doesn't mean what it sounds like. Hang in there, dude. There has to be light somewhere. I'm also finding it difficult to see a positive in this...EXCEPT the evidence of demonstrations and petitions give me hope that he isn't going to be able to run slipshod over America. One other encouraging thing that I read...Howard Stern says (I know, I know...fucking Howard Stern) he kept asking Trump why he wanted to do thia, that it made no sense that he would give up his lavish life style for it...wait, let me cut and paste what Stern said:

The controversial radio personality, who supported Hillary Clinton, says throughout the lead-up to the election, he continued to press Trump on why he wanted to leave his lavish lifestyle for politics.
"I think NBC was f---ing with him on The Apprentice deal. They were going to lower his pay," said Stern, sharing his own theory. "He said, 'You know what I'll do, I'll run for president. Even if I don't win, I'll announce, it'll up my game, and I'll get a better deal.' Which is a smart move."
While many in the country were stunned about Tuesday's outcome, Stern believes that Trump is the person most shocked, adding, "I still don't think he wants it."

I've not fully analyzed WHY I find this encouraging...and I'll get back to you on that one.

So, man...maybe there is more light out there that we're seeing.

That last sentence above should read: So, man...maybe gthere is more light out there THAN we're seeing.

Dumpster is already backpedaling on Obamacare and the promise to kick out all the Muslims. His peeps who put him in office are going to get the wake up call of their lives when they realize that he was never in it for them, only for himself. How the hell they missed that to begin with, well...I guess we can thank our corporate overlords for that.

jadedj said...

Intell---All about the money...as Howard Stern says...or so it is beginning to appear. He said what he needed to say to the disaffected and bigots to get their votes. Watch, the real pres will be Pence. Trump cares less to actually do the job. pence, an even more dangerous man than Carl Rove, the last vice-president president.

Well, you have not heard from me in a while, but I mourned for my comrades to the south of me as you endured this trial.
Your comments show me that there are still hearts beating and minds alive
hang in....

Hey Harlequin, good to hear from you! We're hanging in. Let's hope drumpf doesn't take that literally.

In my 65 years of life, I have never witnessed anything so utterly depressing and frightening in the political arena. There is now a completely arrogant, despot ready to apply his scum all over the White House and the nation.

There are so many things wrong with this election, they're impossible to list. This is precisely what the Founding Fathers were worried about as they created the Constitution and the Electoral College.

Although there is a group of dissenting Electors "The Hamilton Electors" http://www.hamiltonelectors.com , sadly, the other Electors are very likely to just rubber stamp this election like they always do.

There's a ray of hope all - I just went to the Webpage "Hamilton Electors". They had SIX electors yesterday who were willing to dissent. Just one day later, as of today, Dec 14, they seem to think they have as many as 30 dissenters, with 37 required to send the election to the House of Representatives for THEM to elect our next president. I say, virtually anyone would be a better selection than Trump.

jadedj said...

Bob Conner---Well, six days later, turns out your original analysis was correct...the Electoral College fell in line with Drumpf yesterday. It's a dumb deal, er...done deal. The march toward despotism is in full swing. Hell, Hillary even had two defectors...WTF?

I fully expect a Reichstag Fire type crisis, such as the 1933 German one, to occur in two to three months from now. Everything the man has done and said up to this point...just fits that type of staged event.

It gets more depressing by the second.
