I, too, will STFU now.

The pictures remind me of winter UP on the Tundra in days gone by. Some places with flat roofs leave a snowblower on the roof year-round.

Here in Hot-Lanta they are predicting snow, schools and places are shutting down already and there isn't a flake in the air yet.

Wow, that is amazing. Crawling back into my shell now :o)

What comes to mind seeing those pictures, is spring thaw, where is all the water going to go?

Kyle Leach said...

JJ, now I know where all our snow and cold weather has gone. I'm simply amazed. It is like a traffic accident, I've got to go look at the photos again.

Better them (or you) than me, man ;)

OH MY!
50 & rainy in Portland, Oregon... sending you all my warmth...

Bob---duly noted.

Kulkuri---I intend to stay as far away from the Tundra as possible...snow blower or no. I can't imagine trying to start that sucker having been up there in the cold all the time.

I would think snow throws Atlanta for a loop...no snow removal equipment to speak of, or am I wrong?

Bucko---I'm wid ya.

Holte---Downhill.

Kyle---Tis mesmerizing, isn't it. I was looking at the dude on the roof and it hit me that the snow was taller than he. Holy avalanche batman!

PE---You're all soul PE :-)

Stephen---Thank you. When I lived in South Florida, 50 was considered a major cold snap. Ah for the good ol' days.

Oh thank God for the tropics.

Moko---and "global warming".

Whimps...Ok, OK, Ofuckin'K.

I have to take the day off tomorrow to have my car repaired.

Fuck 'em, If they want to live in Far-colder-en-a-witch's-tit-GO,
WELL, why in a cold-as-a-well-diggers-ass should I give a cold as a dead rat's ass.
HUH????

I have to live without a serpentine belt.
FARGO had a fuckin' movie made in it's name.

Ever heard of a movie named Serpentine Belt??? I did not think So. Maybe I'm just tired and need some rest.

Who the fuck would live like that??? Don't answer.
I saw the movie.

loved these images... brought me back to my youth in Newfoundland.... I remember ( and I will lie and say it is a fond memory now that I have almost 50 years of distance from it ) going to school from my upstairs window....thinking how much fun it was to slide down to the street... and then there's be armies of roaming kids just skylarking in the snow....
too bad adulthood seems to have robbed me of that joyful embrace of snow....
perhaps it's time to break out my woolies and find a nice deep snow pile
cheers!

You look remarkably fetching in that orange jumpsuit.

RE Your comment from yesterday.

Brother you really don't know just how violent Detroit is do you?

After 2" inches that mess moved on before we started taking pot shots at it. No even the weather doesn't like coming here.

I will say though that the pictures do look fairly typical for the Upper Peninsula where they save their ammo to poach deer with.

Harlequin---I is refreshing to hear from someone who can find poetry in even the harshest of events. And then there are the serpents of doom and gloom, a.k.a., Punch.

Have a great slide H.

Punch---see the next comment response...asshole.

Mo---I borrowed that jumpsuit from Punch. He was issued one permanently by the county jail due to his frequent residency there.

wm---oh yes, I remember. There were areas in Detroit I had to go into now and then when I worked for U of M. I swore to myself that if I had 4 flat tires concurrently, I would keep on driving, screw a changing of tires.

jadedj said...

Punch, make that the response above yours...asshole.

You know, if you (one) is going to insult another, you (one) should get the facts correct. JackAss.

jadedj said...

Punch---One? You? Insult? Facts? Jack? Ass? Are you down there in Frozen Chosen, sans serpentine belts, licking the flagpole dude?

diane said...

I started laughing when I got to the "windows". These are great, and funny because it's not that bad here. Love the previous one of Jack, too, hahaha.

the walking man said...

I showed the old lady your pictures...she offered, nay really wanted to come and help you dig out. I offered her a plane ticket but then she realized I was more serious than she was.

jadedj said...

Diane---Jack? That is a photo of moi, taken by a hateful neighbor...the one that thinks I need to mow the grass more than twice per summer.

wm---At least you weren't suggesting that she hitchhike. Ingrate.

diane said...

Plant pine trees. They shed their needles, creating a heavenly soft lawn; no mowing needed. And you could always chuck pine cones at your neighbor's house.

jadedj said...

diane---Har, har, har!

Doug said...

Any snow is too much, I am not eight years old any more, and would not want to be, either. I enjoy being a old curmudgeon who hates snow.

Punch said...

I don't lick poles.

jadedj said...

Doug---yep, my six year old would sleep in it if we let her. I'm wid you man.

Punch---watch it pal, this is a family blog.

Tom Harper said...

Just think, if somebody had a heart attack from shoveling snow, an ambulance wouldn't be able to get to him.

jadedj said...

Tom---not so far fetched. There have been problems with fire engines not being able to get through narrowed streets. One even crushed an auto that was parked next to a snow bank.

intelliwench said...

That's UGGS weather, oh boy!

jadedj said...

intell---watch it palperson, this is a family blog.

intelliwench said...

Well...I never! (hardly ever.)

jadedj said...

Exactly.

JJ !! I'm over-whelmed! ~ and may I add...a slight case of clostophobia ! Amazing photos!

In the blizzard of 1977/78 this is exactly how my house looked (my apartment) up north in Michigan!

becomingkate said...

I've seen pictures of newfoundland exactly like the last two. In Alberta we have a lot of snow, but the worst of it is the cold. Brrr!

jadedj said...

Sunny---oh yes, I've been up there in the middle of Winter too. Not nice.

kate---I agree...and the ice. We've warmed up to a toasty 30 F, and the sun is out! Heaven. Saturday night we were down to -27. Too damned cold.

Yowza! My Walmart shovels would be no match for this monstrosity.

jadedj said...

Elizabeth---Is that a slur against Made in Chine products?

Stephen said...

OMG...I will STFU, BTW- great, amazing photos!

jadedj said...

Stephen---wish I could take credit for the photos. A friend sent them to me.
