Congress...

(Borrowed this image from http://pointlessbanter.net)

on so many levels. However, you have an opportunity to stand tall on Sunday, and do the right thing. Get off your asses and do what needs to be done.

Alright, alright already. I'll go to church. Won't wack off in the bathroom. Anything else?

Mr. C---this is your vision for America? Oh, and you said nothing about the tool shed. You do know that weed wacker has nothing to do with your wacker, don't you?

JJ keep the faith, Sunday is gonna be the day we will get healthcare reform. I'm not sure what your stance is on the bill, I'm not 100% loving it but it is a beginning and it must start somewhere!

Sue---My stance is public option, but at this point, whatever we can get through that mess we call the legislature. My message here to that "august" body, and in particular wavering, pussy-footing Democrats is, get it the fuck done in what ever way it takes...that is what a mandate is about. We voted you in on this and other issues, now you need to stand and deliver.

I am ever the optimist (and keeping everything crossed common sense will win through for your guys). It's abhorrent such a powerful country can so callously ignore it's most vulnerable.

My real stance on this is Obama should veto it and denounce it for the corrupt piece of crap it is. He should then challenge the nation to get off their asses and bring real change we can believe in.

I just hope the left is categorizing all of the rights soundbites for playing in November.

The bill blows but every start needs a firsts step and sometime after 2 om Sunday we will find out if we move forward or back ten steps.

Mr. C...go ahead and pull one off if it calms your Zen enough to move the recalcitrant asses in this congress.

I kinda like Mr. C's idea. We need a different kind of revolting going on.

When it gets signed,it will be time to get the weed wacker out because there will be some shriveled up tea bags dirtying up the lawn.

Shrinky---Isn't it though. We have some genuine self-centered cretins over here, not to mention outright bigots. Thanks for the words of encouragement, though. Those of us who care are hanging tight.

Mr. C---At least half of this nation doesn't rise to challenges...their "challenge" is shouting inanities, and verbally regurgitating what they've been feed. Then they turn on their televisions and in between their "reality" programs on FOX, watch Walmart ads, dreaming of all the cheap ass, shoddy Chinese products they can buy. In the interim, bending over and repeatedly being cornholed by corporate America...and the politicians of America. This is to whom the Party of No is pandering.

I am with you on the "piece of crap" thought, however. When I say rise and do the right thing, I mean, put in the public option, or extend Medicare, and ram the goddamn thing through. Do what the Repugs do and use the power.

walking man---One would hope...and ten steps backwards may be an optimistic estimate.

intell---I'm ready when do we start?

Holte---I'm thinking to hell with the weed wacker...this requires a full on, high powered John Deere lawn tractor, with a large cutting path capacity. I would have said Honda, but we need to buy American. When done with that group, we'll aim it toward the home of a certain conservative talk show liar and rabble rouser, in Palm Beach, Florida.

Your congressman was planning to stand tall this Sunday and vote for the health reform package. But suddenly he's feeling a little queasy; he's gonna have to call in sick tomorrow.

jadedj said...

Tom---Not at all fucking surprised.

Mr. Charleston said...

John Deere is made in China.

Mr. C---Mowers...Fuquay-Varina, NC

Mr. Charleston said...

Vuquay-Varina. Ain't that some kind ah faggot French wine?

mo.stoneskin said...

I would like you and Mr C to run for president. Seriously. One of you could stand on the other's shoulders and wear a great long coat.

jadedj said...

Mr. C---Your call.

mo---We considered this, but he wanted me to sit on his head...too bony. The alternative was not acceptable to me.

I kept turning on CNN yesterday, where I was nearly bludgeoned to death by , "historic" and "history" over and over. "This is history." "Today is an historic day."

I wish the history had contained something with a bit more forward motion in it, but it is a start. We'll develop a social conscience in this country yet, I tell you :-)

Death to the term pre-existing. That's something to celebrate, isn't it?

I would have wished for more, but we must start somewhere.

L of s---Actually, after reading Holte Ender's post of last night (late). I've reassessed my feelings about it. He points out that both Social Security and Medicare were in the beginning quite meager programs, and were added on to later. Here's the post...it's a good read, and gives me hope:

maybe it's histrionic, not historic....
the two tongues in these posts are a great juxtapose...

Harlequin---Great observation! I didn't even notice it.
