This post...

"I am not a good American...I prefer to form my own opinions" - George Carlin

is only good as long as the following live stream of "Occupy Wall Street" lasts. BTW, thus far, 80 arrested and reports of mace being used:

So now it's pretty safe to say that along with the civil rights taken away by the so called patriot Act we have now lost the right to peacefully protest. What's next do we turn our drum circles to gun circles?

w m---This is what the sons-of-bitches don't seem to understand. This shit is festering, and at some point the boil always bursts.

Guess I had better tune in later in the day, there ain't shit happening on Wall Street at 6:30am on a Sunday morning. However, been following this as much as I can given there is basically no coverage from corporate media. We're a long way from armed rebellion but damned close to a pissed-off uprising. The teabaggers are the tip of the iceberg.

BTW The Huffpost is doing a pretty good job of covering this.

NYC doesn't much like peaceful protests -- back in '80 a number of my friends got their heads, arms, and ribs busted in a peaceful demonstration outside the DNC (thankfully someone grabbed my sorry ass to safety). It was chilling to watch the brutality.

This was a topic of conversation at our "Rally for the Humans" yesterday. Luckily, in our local action yesterday, the worst I suffered was a little sunburn:

Sarge---I am assuming that you made a typo and meant you DON'T advocate armed rebellion.

I agree...reasoning with right-wingers and mad dogs is a wasted exercise, nor do I have any illusions that what I write here has one iota bit of influence on the same. It is time to get mean.

Mr. C---Yeah, the non-coverage coverage. Pretty damned transparent.

I just felt I could just ignore this. I had to post something and this said it for me.

intell---Considering where you are, you were probably lucky yesterday.

Thanks for the link, I'll take a look.

Sarge---Oh yeah! There's also a lot to be said for the drawn and quartered technique, I think.

You're not going to believe this, but the mainstream "media" has finally discovered the Occupy Wall Street protests. It only took them a week.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the story on Yahoo.com yesterday. Rip Van Winkle has awoken.

Tom---Not that I didn't believe you, but I had to go take a look first before responding to your comment. Yep...Yahoo does have a piece. Not exactly in-depth, but...at least something.
