Hey, let's kick some fireworks ass!

"I am not a good American...I prefer to form my own opinions" - George Carlin

A short post, inspired by my newest follower,  Dusty, Hells most vocal Bitch over at Leftwingnutjob.net.http://leftwingnutjob.net/2011/07/happy-friggin-4th/.

Damned good thing, because I was at a loss as to what to post on this fine patriotic, reclaim day. This says it all for me and my neighborhood here on the plain Plains.

An aside...I am pretty sure the pit bull which lives next door is a little less enthusiastic than some of my other bomb totting neighbors about it all. Maybe my neighbor should just let him loose and let HIM take care of all this loud bullshit which goes on for the next three weeks.

There have been random fireworks in my neighbourhood since a week before our Victoria Day holiday on May 23. There were quite a few on July 1. I expect the random bangs and sizzles to continue for at least a few weeks.

That's what I like about the South.

Last year we had the kind of neighbors that chose to whoop it up with bottle rockets. This year, other than the fire departments celebration last night, it's been eerily quiet. I guess the usual suspects must be in jail or something.

I'm with Punch, especially the grumpy part. Rednecks. But that's what I love about the South. And don't forget, fireworks were our first Chinese import.

Doug---I feel the pain.

Punch---Have at it bubba.

Sherry---Lucky you, but bviously you don't live anywhere near Punch...or me.

Mr. C---Why are you always on the same page with Punch...and the Chinese?

we've been having 100Plus days for over 20 days or so and everything is so dry if you had a dry fart it would blow up the county.

Chimp---That's an entire arsenal.

YD G---Hold those farties!

Save some of the M80's for Nancy Grace's butt! ZOMG, hysterical!

Amazingly enough..all neighbors have their appendages still attached today. Another interesting note is that they ALL CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES this year.

Must be new folks in 'da hood'. Or they got religion..frankly I don't care which it is..I am just glad it's over for another year.

Question:Most illegal fireworks in Cali come from Mexico don't they?

jadedj said...

D,HmvB---That is amazing. Must be something in the air nationally. We only had 13 fires which included one van and two garages burned to the ground. And only 28 people sought treatment for fireworks-related injuries...mainly hands and eye injuries...no manly parts. One moran (sic) reported being shot by a firework in the forehead...after he looked down the tube when a parachute didn't launch.

Yeah, and those illegals are jamming up our emergency rooms and all like that there.

Oblivious rednecks with their fireworks, getting set upon by a pit bull -- now there's a match made in Heaven.

jadedj said...

Tom---Unfortunately, the pit bull headed out and met a lady chihuahua three doors down. The last I saw them, the Animal Control team was hauling them off to the pound because they didn't have proper papers. All of this unbeknownst to the neighborhood bombardiers.

Nary a bite on the block...except for some very nervous mosquitoes.

hope you had a fun and fulfilling fourth and the only explosions were creative ones...

Harlequin---Actually it was kind of boring, uninspiring and loud. And that was inside the house.
